Utica Curling Club to add Handicap Accessible Ramp
Bonacci Architects has been hired to design a new ADA compliant enclosed ramp addition to allow wheelchair athletes access to the ice. The existing ice surface is located 1/2 story below the first floor of the building. Currently, wheelchair athletes have to enter the ice through lower level storage and utility rooms. A new concrete, masonry and wood framed ramp and enclosure is planned for the rear of the building. This will improve access to the ice from within the building and exiting at the rear of the building.
